The Advanced Communication and Composition course emerges as an opportunity for undergraduate students to master their language skills as well as to meet the communication needs and requirements in their profession as future language teachers. Departing from the notion that language skills should be taught integrated throughout the contents of the curriculum, this course aims to foster students’ communicative competence and to master language skills with a particular emphasis on writing and speaking.
The course is designed to offer students with different opportunities to widen their knowledge on writing and communicating more effectively in English. Thus, it is expected that learners can address an in-depth study of the particular features of language involved when writing and communicating orally. The latter becomes a response to the demand of professionals with a high profile in the communication of their ideas. Similarly, the course responds to the requirements of the labor market, which demands from professionals a certified level of the language through international exams.
